Generally we could use 20GP , 40FT and 40HC containers to transport our rainwater tank. As their sizes are diferent, the quantity in them varies.
We use pallets to hold modules and side plates, and use plywood case to hold top cover, big and small buckles.
Please bear in mind that we can put 22 pallets and 2 cases in a 40FT or 40HC container, and 10 pallets and 2 cases in a 20GP container.
For Modules, we have two size of pallets, big and small.
For 20GP container, 112pcs/pallet (small), 168pcs/pallet(big).
For 40FT container, 112pcs/pallet (small), 168pcs/pallet(big).
For 40HC container, 128pcs/pallet(small), 192pcs/pallets(big)
One plywood case can hold 3000pcs top covers. (3000pcs/case).
One plywood case can hold 15000pcs big buckles. (15000pcs/case).
One plywood case can hold 28000pcs small buckles. (28000pcs/case).
For 40HC container, if only loaded with modules, we can load 294.4m3 (168*20+192*2=2944pcs=294.4m3)
For 40FT container, if only loaded with modules, we can load 257.6m3 (112*20+168*2=2576pcs=257.6m3)
The following is how we calculate the quantity in different containers.
The following is the inner size of each container:
- 20′ container: 5898mm long , 2352mm wide, 2393mm high.
- 40′ container: 12032mm long , 2352mm wide, 2393mm high.
- 40’HC container: 12032mm long , 2352mm wide, 2698mm high.
While do packaging, we use pallets. As the modules are stackable, they can be stacked on the pallets. We have two sizes of pallets: big one and small one. The following is size information for the pallets:
- The small pallet size is 1030mm long, 1030mm wide, 110mm high.
- The big pallet size is 1600mm long, 1030mm wide, 110mm high.
Rainwater module size is 1000mm long, 500mm wide, 225mm high(35mm+190mm). See the picture below.
Rainwater Module Qty in a 40’HC Container:
Please note 1m3 has 5 tanks, each tank has 2 modules. So 1m3 has 10 modules. 1m3 = 10 Modules
For a 40’HC container, on small pallet we can put 2 rows of modules, each row has 64pcs of modules. So one small pallet can hold 128pcs of modules. Total height of one small pallet is 64*35+190+110mm=2540mm. The space left between the module on pallet and container roof is 2698-2540=158mm.
For a 40’HC container, on big pallet we can put 3 rows of modules, each row has 64pcs of modules. So one big pallet can hold 192pcs of modules. Total height of one small pallet is 64*35+190+110mm=2540mm. The space left between the module on pallet and container roof is 2698-2540=158mm.
If one 40’HC container only loaded with the rainwater modules, without side plates, top covers, big and small connectors, we can put 20 small pallets and 2 big pallets. So the quantity is 128*20+192*2=2944pcs. That means we can put 294.4m3 modules in 1 40’HC container.
Rainwater Module Qty in a 40FT Container:
As the differences between 40’FT and 40’HC container is their height. 40’HC container is 30cm higher than 40′ container (2698-2393=305mm). So we can put a little less quantity in a 40′ container. The module quantity on a small pallet is (2393-158-110-190)/35=56*2=112pcs. And the quantity on a big pallet is 56*3=168pcs. As we can see from above that we can put 20 small pallets and 2 big pallets in a 40FT container, so we can put 112*20+168*2=2576pcs. That is 257.6m3 of modules.
Rainwater Module Qty in a 20′ Container:
The differences between 20′ and 40′ container is their length. 20′ container is only 5.898m long, and as the small pallet size is 1.03*1.03m, so we can at most put 10 pallets ( in two row, each row 5 small pallets). So we can put 112*10=1120pcs into the container, that is 112m3.
The following is a picture which shows two rows of pallets in a 40’HC container:
